Stephanie Washington was born and raised in Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Michigan State University. Before going to law school, she worked as a Medical Technologist for several years.
Stephanie earned her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, her Master of Laws in Taxation from Loyola Law School, and her Master of Laws in Intellectual Property from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While attending law school, she participated in several school competitions and was a member of Moot Court, Mock Trial, Black Law Student Association, and Tax Law Society. She also traveled to Louisiana to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina and assisted in the formation of Nonprofit Organizations.
After she graduated from law school, she formed her own general law practice focusing in the practice areas of Probate and Estate Planning, Tax Controversy, Probate Administration, Bankruptcy, Trademarks, and Business Formation and Planning.
